while a constant nag

Riddle: proud in it's den,
guardian of that which is priceless.
Answer: Friendly Griffon (alternatively any name the Griffon may have)

Riddle: red warns of dread or so we thought
when everything red can safely be sought
Answer: Flowers or Berries
